Darwin Theatre Company develops and presents high quality contemporary theatre services within a professional context that enrich the culture and lifestyle of our community and support creative, relevant, excellent and exciting theatre activity and development throughout the Northern Territory.

We do this by….

• Presenting high quality contemporary theatre from a distinct Northern Territory viewpoint.
• Striving for excellence in script development for professional theatre in the Northern Territory.
• Creatively addressing issues that affect the Northern Territory community by commissioning and performing theatre works.
• Developing innovative partnerships and collaborations with arts practitioners, and professional arts and service organisations within the Northern Territory.
• Extending beyond Darwin to provide access to theatre services for audiences and professional, emerging and community theatre practitioners in regional and remote communities of the Northern Territory.
• Cooperating with companies outside the Northern Territory in order to extend the life of local work, optimise use of resources and promote the profile of regional theatre in Northern Australia.
